Read the following questions carefully before answering them. You may need to look through the book to help you.

The Little Refugee by Anh Do and Suzanne Do tells a story of Anh Do’s journey from Vietnam after the Vietnam War. He and his family left their country by fishing boat. They experienced extreme heat, storms, hunger, thirst, attack, loneliness and fear before they reached Australia.

a) How might you feel if you were Anh Do? Refer to a part of the story read in podcast one and discuss how you would feel in this situation and why? For example: I would feel unsafe travelling on a boat from one country to another because I’m scared of water and cannot swim. I wouldn’t want anything to happen to the boat while I was at sea.

b) List 5 things that you would take with you if you had to leave Australia and never return.
